What is a community group?
Community groups are the way we seek to live in light of the gospel in ways we are unable to on our own. We gather weekly in small groups of 8-12 people for fellowship and food, discussion and prayer. Community Groups are a vital expression of Redemption’s mission and where we live the ups and downs of life together.
When and where do the community groups meet?
Our community groups are based on geographic location, so we want to have community groups everywhere we have people. To find a community group near you, email us at community@redemptionbiblechurch.org.
I am new here…Am I ready for a community group?
A community group is a gathering of people from the church that get together weekly to live the ups and downs of life together. Life is hard. God never intended for us to live life in isolation, or on our own. He created us for relationship with Him and relationship with each other. Whether you have been at Redemption for a while, or this was your first week, community groups are for you.
What should I expect at community group?
When you attend a community group you can expect to share a meal and hang out with a group of regular people going through the same seasons of life you are. We usually discuss the previous Sunday’s message, laugh together, sometimes cry together, pray together, and encourage one another.
What WILL NOT happen at a community group?
No one is going to force you to talk about anything you do not want to. No one is going to force you to pray. No one will judge you or criticize you based on where you have been and what you have done.
