Ashley Herr- Lead Pastor
I was raised on a farm outside a small town in Southeast Iowa. Although I grew up in a Christian home and have known Jesus my entire life, it was not until a friend asked if he could start a new church in our living room that I began to truly realize the depth of my sin and appreciate what Christ did for me on the cross. Ever since, I have seen how God's plans have always been greater than mine. After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in electrical engineering and spending 17 years in the telecommunications industry, God called me to step into the role of lead pastor of the church that had begun in our living room just seven years earlier. I currently live near downtown Arlington Heights with my wife, Jill, and our two boys, Ethan and Sean.
Andrew Brantley- Associate Pastor
I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO and moved to Chicagoland for seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. There isn't a time that I can point to where I have not called myself a Christian, but I only really began to understand the gospel during my later high school years. I want to know and love God and help others know and love Him, too. I live in Arlington Heights with my wife (and best friend!), Kara, and our son Owen. In my spare time, you can probably find me reading, going on adventures with my family, and spending too much time and emotion following the Kansas City Royals.
Tim Wiggins- Director of Worship
I have lived in the Chicago-land area my entire life. When I was about 12 years old and living in Elmhurst my family started Pathway Community Church. There, I met my wife and discovered my passion for leading God's people in worship. After high school I attended Wheaton College, where I studied Bible and Theology. Following graduation, I was a worship pastor in Arlington
Heights before transitioning to bi-vocational ministry at Redemption and Feed My Starving Children-Schaumburg. I live in Palatine with my wife, Mariah, and our dog Bunny, where you can find me writing music, drinking coffee, or doing something sports related in my free time.
Bob Arosen- Director of Redemption Kids
I grew up in the building that currently houses Redemption. I received great instruction and inspiration from scores of Sunday school teachers, Awana leaders, youth leaders, and pastors over the course of my early years, but it wasn’t until I was eighteen that I made the faith I was taught my own. I attended Moody Bible Institute and have been involved in ministry for over 40 years. While I have served in different ministry capacities, my favorite thing to do is teach the unfolding drama of Redemption to children and their families. At Redemption Kids we partner with parents help children know, love, and live for Christ.
I met my wife Charmaine in this building and we currently live in Pingree Grove, IL. We have 3 married adult children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. My children also force me to inform you that I have 4 delightful grandpuppies, too. Go Cubs.
Janice Tamura- Office Manager
I was born and raised in Chicago with 2 brothers (I'm the middle kid). I graduated from Northern Illinois University and worked in corporate accounting in Louisville, KY for fifteen years. I was saved at 12, but over time turned away to pursue my career. However, God pursued me and I left my job to move back to Chicago and rededicated my life to Christ in 2007. God put it on my heart to use my accounting and business experience to serve Him in church and other not for profit ministries. In my spare time, I love watching sports (especially basketball, hockey, and golf and ESPN). I spend most of my time with my family, especially my dad. He is 95 years old and in great health, and we love grocery shopping and eating Japanese food together.
