I was raised on a farm outside a small town in Southeast Iowa. Although I grew up in a Christian home and have known Jesus my entire life, it was not until a friend asked if he could start a new church in our living room that I began to truly follow Jesus. Ever since, I have seen more and more how God’s plans have always been greater than mine. After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in electrical engineering and spending 17 years at Motorola, God called me to step to the role of lead pastor of the church that had begun in our living room just a few years earlier. I have since graduated from Trinity Evangelical & Divinity School (TEDS) with a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies and currently live in Arlington Heights with my wife, Jill, our two boys, Ethan and Sean, and Alice, our rescue beagle.

NEW HALF PR - 1:51:32! Beat my 2019 time by over 4 minutes. Perfect weather - 27 degrees, no wind, partly cloudy - with Jill and the boys cheering me along the way!! One more race to go this year. Going to try and sneak another full in next month.
