Big Idea: Followers of Jesus give of themselves for the good of others and the glory of God

Introduction (6:1)

  • Do not hide your faith from others or flaunt your faith before others, but live out your faith and allow your light to shine

1. Jesus confronts our self-centered motivation for giving (6:2)

2. Jesus provides the proper motivation for giving (6:3-4)

  • We give because we have the means to meet the need - and our reward is seeing the need met as God works in us and through us with what God has given us.
