Fall Church Project Day

2019.10.26-ProjectDay.png

Every family has a list of home improvement projects - and our church family is no different! Join us as we cross some projects off our list as we love and care for this incredible home God has blessed us with. We’re going to finish the ceiling updates in the lobby, hang the rest of the new LED lights in the gym, and plenty of organizational projects!

This is a great chance to serve along side others, make new friends, and make this your church!

We’re asking everyone to sign up so we can be sure to have enough projects for everyone.

The Apostle John closes his gospel saying that “Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written SO THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:30-31)

John wrote his gospel with a purpose: so that you may believe!

John specifically selected these seven signs, not because of the power they display, but the Savior they point us to: Jesus!

The signs were not intended to simply point us to what Jesus has done, but to who He is: the Christ, the Son of God.

The signs were not done so that you might be amazed, but that you may believe.

And that by believing you may have life in his name.

Invite a friend, bring your family, and join us this Sunday at Redemption as we continue our series, So That You May Believe, looking at the seventh sign: raising a dead man to life from John 11.

10 Year Celebration!

2019.09.15-10Year.png

It seems like just yesterday we had our very first worship service at Cutting Hall in Palatine. Yet it wasn't - it was 10 years ago! In that time, we have had SO MUCH to celebrate together as a church family.

We want to invite you to to join us on Sunday, September 15th, as we celebrate 10 years of God's faithfulness here at Redemption.

We're going to worship together as we kick off our fall sermon series in the gospel of John. And then we are going to CELEBRATE! We're going to be serving up some really good tacos with all the fixings. There'll be a bouncy house for the kids, face painting, a photo booth, snow cones, and plenty of yard games to play. But most of all, we will have each other - our church family.

We're asking everyone to sign up to help us gauge how much food to have ready. You can also sign up to help with setup - during the event - or with clean-up after wards. The more hands the pitch in, the more fun we can all have!

SIGN UP FOR OUR 10-YEAR CELEBRATION!

And if you’re looking for some new Redemption swag, be sure to check out this ordering form where you can get some Redemption t-shirts, hoodies, and hats!

We live in a culture that expects to be served. Wherever you go - be it a restaurant, a coffee shop, or even in calling an Uber to get there - we have come to anticipate a certain level of service. Not only that, but we even rate others on how well they serve us.

Yet, as followers of Jesus, we are not called to be served; we are called to serve! We are called to serve our families, our neighbor, each other, our church, and the world.

Join us this Sunday at Redemption as we continue our sermon series Called to Serve, as we open God's Word to see where we are called to serve and why we are called to serve. Each week we'll also share some practical next steps you can take individually, and that we can take as a church family, as together we answer God's call to serve.
