Serving at Redemption

We ask everyone who makes Redemption their home to serve in some way. We call our serving opportunities "Missional Teams" — because everyone who serves at Redemption is on mission.

Each week, people attend Redemption who don’t know Jesus, so we put a great deal of time, effort, and focus on creating a distraction-free environment. We believe this allows people to better hear and receive the message of the gospel that is preached each and every week.

A description of each missional team is provided below. Once you’ve decided where you would like to participate, complete the form provided at the bottom of this page and we will get you plugged in. We value everyone's participation so that as a family we can carry the mission forward.

Are you ready to answer the call to serve?

Check out which team would be best for you, then fill out the Missional Team Sign-up Form below!

AWANA at Redemption Kids

This team leads our midweek children's ministry during the school year, pointing children from both our church and our community to Jesus. We do this by:

  • Leading worship and teaching lessons in a large group setting

  • Having fun through a variety of games and activities

  • Helping kids with their memorization and understanding of Scripture

  • Assisting teachers and game leaders

We work to ensure that Awana at Redepmtion Kids is a safe, loving, and clean environment at all times. To support this, everyone who serves in Awana at Redemption Kids must pass a criminal background check. Once the Missional Team Sign-up form is completed, volunteers who selected to serve in Awana at Redemption Kids will receive an email from Check'r, the company Redemption uses to process background checks. After the background check is approved, volunteers will be oriented and added to the schedule.

Production Team

This team creates an atmosphere through audio, video, and lighting elements that allows for worship and preaching to be unhindered by distraction. We do this by:

  • Mixing the sound for the worship service

  • Running the lights and media presentation during the worship service

Redemption Kids

This team faithfully serves the kids of our church, pointing them to Jesus in an age appropriate worship setting. Redemption Kids is for children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. We do this by:

  • Caring well for each child so that parents can focus on being a part of the weekly worship service

  • Teaching, leading kids in worship, and engaging even the youngest kids

  • Keeping the children's ministry area welcoming, safe, & healthy

  • Paging parents when diapers need changing or if other issues arise requiring a caregiver's attention

As the only missional team that misses the worship service, Redemption Kids volunteers deeply bless the parents of Redemption. We work to ensure that Redemption Kids is a safe, loving, and clean environment at all times. To support this, everyone who serves in Redemption Kids must pass a criminal background check. Once the Missional Team Sign-up form is completed, volunteers who selected to serve in Redemption Kids will receive an email from Check'r, the company Redemption uses to process background checks. After the background check is approved, volunteers will be oriented and added to the schedule.
