Robin Philip - Elder
I’ve lived around the Northwest Suburb for most of my life. I accepted Christ at a youth conference during my high school years and God has been showing me who He is ever since. I graduated Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Health Administration and am currently finishing up seminary at Moody Theological Seminary. I work downtown Chicago at a hospital, managing the surgery scheduling team. In 2014, I married my beautiful wife, Sarah, and we reside in Des Plaines. I enjoy going on trips with Sarah, hanging out with family/friends, and cooking/eating Indian food. My simplified testimony is: Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. I desire to live this truth out in my life.
Dale Rakebrandt - Elder
I grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and attended Ridgewood Baptist Church with my family. It was there that I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of 9. I attended UW-Milwaukee, graduating with a degree in accounting. I served in youth ministry for many years and in 1999, I moved to Illinois so I could take classes at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 2010, I married the love of my life, Katy. We have 2 children, Scott, and Stephanie, and a daughter-in-law, Kyra. I work as a general contractor, specializing in bathroom and kitchen remodels. I live in Palatine where I enjoy cycling, exercising, fixing up our home, and getting together with family and friends.
Tim Wiggins - Worship Director
I have lived in the Chicago-land area my entire life. When I was about 12 years old and living in Elmhurst my family started Pathway Community Church. There, I met my wife and discovered my passion for leading God's people in worship. After high school I attended Wheaton College, where I studied Bible and Theology. Following graduation, I was a worship pastor in Arlington Heights before transitioning to ministry at Redemption, and am currently in graduate school at Covenant Theological Seminary. I live in Palatine with my wife, Mariah, and our dog Bunny, where you can find me writing music, drinking coffee, or doing something sports related in my free time.
Bob Arosen - Director of Redemption Kids
I grew up in the building that currently houses Redemption. I received great instruction and inspiration from scores of Sunday school teachers, Awana leaders, youth leaders, and pastors over the course of my early years, but it wasn’t until I was eighteen that I made the faith I was taught my own. I attended Moody Bible Institute and have been involved in ministry for over 40 years. While I have served in different ministry capacities, my favorite thing to do is teach the unfolding drama of Redemption to children and their families. At Redemption Kids we partner with parents help children know, love, and live for Christ.
I met my wife Charmaine in this building and we currently live in Pingree Grove, IL. We have 3 married adult children and 5 beautiful grandchildren. My children also force me to inform you that I have 4 delightful grandpuppies, too. Go Cubs.
Janice Tamura - Office Manager
I was born and raised in Chicago with 2 brothers (I'm the middle kid). I graduated from Northern Illinois University and worked in corporate accounting in Louisville, KY for fifteen years. I was saved at 12, but over time turned away to pursue my career. However, God pursued me and I left my job to move back to Chicago and rededicated my life to Christ in 2007. God put it on my heart to use my accounting and business experience to serve Him in church and other not for profit ministries. In my spare time, I love watching sports (especially basketball, hockey, and golf and ESPN). I spend most of my time with my family, especially my dad. He is 95 years old and in great health, and we love grocery shopping and eating Japanese food together.
