The pandemic has brought with it unending uncertainty, and questions that can easily fill us with fear and anxiety. This anxiety often leaves us feeling isolated, added to the physical distance we all already feel, and thinking that maybe we’re the only one dealing with such questions and fears. Yet, the truth is that none of us are alone in feeling off-balance. None of us are alone in the unknown.
As summer closes and fall approaches, we face a significant unknown with respect to school this fall and allthe uncertainties that come along with it. Parents are facing the decision to send their children to school or keep them home. Teachers are facing with beginning the new school year teaching in various formats. And our children and students are simply wanting a return and to be with their friends.
On Wednesday we are going to physically gather together in our church home’s “back yard” for an evening of prayer and worship. No speakers or microphones - no cameras or internet - entirely unplugged from technology. Simply our voices lifting our praise and our prayers to God together.
We’re going to pray for the schools in our community and the administration as they make decisions for the fall.
We’re going to pray for the teachers within our church family.
We’re going to pray for the parents within our church family.
We’re going to pray for the children and students within our church family.
