Obituary

Arthur Henry Schulze, age 83, was born on November 13, 1937, in Melrose Park, Illinois, and passed into eternal life on March 17, 2021. He was married on September 17, 1960, to Caren (Potts) for 60 years. He was the son of Arthur and Mamie Schulze. He was a graduate of Arlington High School, and he served in the U.S. Army.

In his early years, he was a cement mason by trade and then enjoyed many years working as a building superintendant for Mitroff Construction. Many thought of him as the "jack of all trades." His kids and grandkids always said, "Dad/Papa can fix anything." As some of his hobbies, he enjoyed riding on his Harley, driving on road trips, eating out, Sudoku, and playing solitaire.

Art and Caren have lived in Arlington Heights in the same home throughout their entire marriage.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Caren, and his precious children, Vicki, Rick, and his wife, Sue; proud Papa of four grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Deb, and Amanda; his sister, Dorothea (Dot)(Bill, deceased), and their three children, David (Rachel), Bill, and Charil (Ralph); his sister-in-law, Cindy, (Edward, deceased), and their children, Sheri (Dan), and Julie (Randy); along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as he was a friend to so many.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family; he was our "rock."

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude, Samaritan's Purse, or Redemption Bible Church.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Redemption Bible Church, 505 W. Golf Road, Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
