Send the Alcantara's to Poland!

Cześć Redemption!

The last few weeks have been... stressful. I (Dan) have been away from the kids for coming up on 7 weeks and away from Tracy for 6 as we work to figure out what happens next.

For the time being, it would appear that next is serving at a church plant in Warsaw, Poland. In particular, a church plant in a community of about 30k people where this church plant is the only evangelical church. They’re called Społeczność Chrześcijańska Wilanów, which basically translates to Christian Community Wilanów. They’re home to between 30-40 adults and 30 kids (so our presence there is going to cause a 10% growth in the number of kids). They’re a church for the Polish people, but because the area is quite international, they operate in both English and Polish. Already they have shown us so much kindness, sending us a video to greet us and hiring one of the women in the church to help with our transition into the city.

The work we will be doing there is very similar to the work we have been doing at Trinity Church Everton. We’ll be helping out with children’s ministry, worship ministry and discipleship. There are many newer Christians there, but not enough workers to disciple them.

This is a very bittersweet transition as we were not prepared to be leaving Trinity so soon. Liverpool became our home and Trinity became our family. We hope to go back to visit again, but we will have to see how the next year plays out before we figure out how and where we will be living and serving after I’ve finished my apprenticeship with AT3.

In the mean time, be praying for us during this transition. Tracy is orchestrating another international move while also solo-parenting the kids. Pray that God would give her grace and that the process would be smooth. Pray for me as I begin the work of finding us a place to stay before Tracy and the kids join me at the end of the month. Pray for the work that we have ahead of us with the new church.

Finally, please prayerfully consider partnering with us financially for the next 12 months. Because we have this transition, we have some large costs that we weren’t expecting (flights, a new lease and homeschooling curriculum for the kids). We believe that God will provide for those needs, but we also know from experience that he provides through his people. If you’d like to make a one-time donation toward helping us transition into Poland, follow the links at the bottom of this email.

Thank you so much for praying for us during this time and for making it possible for us to share the gospel in these communities in the other side of an ocean.
