Graduating Leaders
Dear Redemption,
As the leaves are falling here, the autumn season is often connected with harvest time. In many respects that's what it feels like for us in our work with Carey as we celebrate the graduation of some of the pastors and leaders that we have been investing in over the past several years.
Tim returned home from Uganda early last week, where he had the privilege of training leaders in Systematic Theology as well as preaching and teaching in multiple churches. The highlight of the trip however was our first ever Ugandan graduating class. We celebrated as 41 pastors and leaders crossed the platform to receive their diplomas and as Tim led the team from Carey in giving a charge to those graduating from 2 Timothy 4.
These pastors and leaders represent every district across the country of Uganda, and it exciting to already be hearing of how the gospel is bearing fruit through their lives and ministries, and how whole communities are being impacted.
We're also excited to announce that we still have 2 more graduation celebrations coming up in the month of November. Tim will be arriving in Cuba next week to to teach at our Havana training center and will preside over the graduation ceremony there, while another member of our Carey team will be teaching in Tanzania and leading graduation celebration there.
The completion of each phase of our training program truly is a time for rejoicing because not only do we get to see more laborers sent out into the harvest field, but as they go, it opens up room from a new generation of leaders to begin their training with us.
