Why did Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt? (They were out of food and heard there was food to buy)
What did Joseph call his brothers when he recognized them? (Spies)
Did his brothers recognize Joseph? (No)
What did Joseph demand? (That the youngest brother come to Egypt)
Before he sent the rest of the brothers home to get Benjamin, what did he do? (Put their money back in their sacks)
When they came back to Egypt with Benjamin, how did Joseph test his brothers? (Joseph put a silver cup in Benjamin’s sack to make it look like he had stolen it)
When Joseph was ready to punish Benjamin, what did his brothers do? (They told him the truth about everything)
What was Joseph’s response? (He cried and revealed himself to them)
What do you think is important about this verse? Genesis 50:20 As for you (the brothers), you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (It tells us that god is in control of EVERYTHING! The nation of Israel was saved because Joseph was in Egypt)
