Discussion Time
After watching the video, ask the following questions to further teach and apply today’s lesson.
Minis/Littles Discussion Questions
1. What was there in the beginning? (nothing but God)
2. Did God use anything to make the world? (No, He made the world out of nothing)
3. What did God call the light? the darkness? (day, night)
4. What did God put in the sky for daytime? for nighttime? (sun, moon, and stars)
5. What did God say when He saw everything He made? (It was good)
6. Who is God? (God is our Creator and King)
Bigs/Elementary Discussion Questions
1. God said that everything He created was good. What does that tell us about God? (Steer discussion toward the idea that God’s creation being good shows that God is good)
2. How do we know when something is good? (Guide discussion toward the idea that God decides what is good. Remind kids that God is our Creator and King, and He defines what is good)
3. What is your favorite thing that God has created? How do you feel about God when you think about wonderful things He made? Name a few things that God created. Steer discussion toward the idea that only God deserves our worship. Only He is powerful and good enough to be worthy of worship.
