Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

Daniel 4

Continue the conversation throughout the week with your kids by asking them questions pertaining to the lesson from Sunday at Redemption Kids.

The questions asked below were asked on Sunday during our time at Redemption Kids. Take some time to read the passage together, discuss the questions, watch a BRAND NEW video of the lesson, memorize the Bible verse, and remember the big idea of this week!

Ask the Questions

Minis/Littles Discussion Questions

  1. Who told King Nebuchadnezzar what his dream meant? (Daniel)

  2. Why did God send Nebuchadnezzar away? (because of his pride; He thought he was greater than God.)

  3. What did Nebuchadnezzar learn about God? (King Nebuchadnezzar learned that God is greatest of all.)

  4. What did God give Nebuchadnezzar after he learned God is greatest of all? (his kingdom back)

  5. Why do we pray? We pray because we trust God, and we know He hears us.

Bigs/Elementary Discussion Questions

  1. What plant was in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream? (a large tree that an angel said would be cut down, Dan. 4: 10)

  2. What did the dream mean? (God would force Nebuchadnezzar to live like an animal and take the kingdom away from him, Dan. 4:25-27)

  3. What did Nebuchadnezzar do when God restored his mind? (Nebuchadnezzar praised God and said God is in control of all things, Dan. 4:34-37)

  4. Why do you think God did what He did with Nebuchadnezzar? Help kids understand that God loved Nebuchadnezzar. God wanted Nebuchadnezzar to know Him and see that He is all-powerful and in control. Nebuchadnezzar was prideful and living for his own glory, and only God deserves glory.

  5. Why do you think pride is such a bad thing? Guide the kids to understand that pride tries to take glory away from God. He is the only One who deserves glory. Apart from God we are nothing. We owe Him everything, including our praise!

  6. What are some ways we struggle with pride? Help kids come up with examples from their own lives. We show pride when we fail to love others well, and when we try to get our way instead of trusting God. We even show pride when we choose not to pray or praise God.
