The Mission Continues as We Continue:
1. Contributing To the Mission (v3)
We ask our members to commit to participating in the mission of our church by:
Helping more people in my life know Jesus and grow to be more like Jesus
Creating an environment where guests experience the love of Christ
Developing formative friendships that foster a shared life together
Utilizing my talents and spiritual gifts to serve the common good and build up the church
Giving of my finances sacrificially, cheerfully, and regularly
Praying for the health, growth, and well-being of my church, its leaders, its members, and the communities we serve
What step can you take today - not tomorrow, next week, or when life slows down - to actively participate in the mission of your church?
2. Seeking the Good of Others (v8-9)
Loving in Deed - seeing the needs of others, feeling compassion for those in need, and showing God’s love by meeting those needs
Loving in Truth - sharing the truth of who God is, who we are, and how God created and called us to live
3. Encouraging One Another (v15)
Encouraging each other with our words
Encouraging each other with our presence
Who can you encourage this week with your words or your presence?
4. Pointing People to Jesus (v23)
Helping them know Jesus by inviting them
Helping them grow to be more like Jesus by investing in them
Who will you invite this week to join you at something here at Redemption this month? What will you invite them to?
5. Pursuing Jesus (v26-27)
Reflection
Pray God would open your:
Ears to hear Him speaking
Eyes to see Him working
Minds to know His truth
Hearts to receive His love
