Communion, Coffee, and Kids - OH MY!
As I shared last Sunday, over the last few months we as elders have been talking and praying about how to begin safely reincorporating some of the rhythms we hold dear as a church family that we have paused during the pandemic.
I’m excited to share three things that are returning this Sunday at Redemption: Communion, Coffee, and Redemption Kids!
Take a moment to watch this video as I explain some of what went into each decision and what you can expect this Sunday at Redemption.
COMMUNION
Our Welcome Team will be placing pre-packed communion elements in the seat back (or under the chair if there is no chair in front) prior to service.
We will take the elements together following the sermon by briefly pulling down our mask, taking the elements, and then pulling our mask back up.
COFFEE
Your are once again able to bring coffee, water, or another beverage into the sanctuary during service.
We will continue to love our neighbor by wearing our masks. So when you go to take a drink, briefly pull down your mask, take a drink, then pull your mask back up.
KIDS
Redemption Kids will return this week with a single combined Bigs + Elementary room for children from 3 years old (who are potty trained) up to 5th grade.
Everyone must register in advance for one of two options:
Register all children attending Redemption Kids under the “How many kids (Bigs + Elementary) will be checking in at Redemption Kids?” option.
Register all adults and children not attending Redemption Kids under the “How many people (including yourself, adults, and children) will be attending?” option.
We will have a self check-in station in the lobby by the Info Desk to check in and print out your stickers.
Your entire family will sit together during worship. Then Tim will dismiss the kids during the Turn, Text, and Wave (prior to the sermon). As with before, they will meet at the door in the front of the sanctuary, to the left of the stage, to be escorted down to the elementary room.
Don’t forget to pick your kids up after service!
We currently have 10 people who have said they are ready to serve in Redemption Kids, which is enough to open one room. We are actively praying for 20 so that we can open a second room as well. If you are interested in serving in Redemption Kids and helping the next generation know Jesus and grow to be like Jesus, just click on the button below!
