Training Leaders in Trying Times

These are challenging days in which we live, and like you my heart is heavy as I have watched the unfolding of scenes across the USA.  Our hearts cry for justice, for peace, for righteousness.  In the midst of this, I take heart as I am reminded that even now, our God is on the throne and our Savior, Christ Jesus is coming again bringing perfect justice and true peace.  I think of the words of Psalm 96:10-13

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will judge the peoples with equity.”
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
          let the field exult, and everything in it!
       Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy
          before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes to judge the earth.
       He will judge the world in righteousness,
and the peoples in his faithfulness.

Training leaders in the Middle East using Zoom

In recent months many of us have probably become far more familiar with the zoom video conferencing tool than we ever expected.  Due to global spread of the Covid 19 virus, our Carey team has not been able to travel to any of our international training centers since early March.  However, as we seek to continue to encourage and equip Pastors and leaders all around the world, we are employing technology like zoom where ever we can.
Beginning June 15, Tim will be teaching a group of Pastors and church leaders from the Middle East over zoom.  It's not our preferred method, and there are some logistical challenges (live translation into Arabic for one), but we're thankful to be able to serve these believers and the churches that they lead.
During this training course Tim will be teaching our Systematic Theology 3 module covering the doctrines of the Holy Spirit, the Church, Angels and demons and Eschatology.  Each of these are key areas especially in the Middle East where there is a great deal of misunderstanding and false teaching surrounding them.
