A Word of Encouragement

For many of us 2020 has been a tumultuuous year filled with uncertainty.  We all regularly find ourselves in need of encouragement, and it maybe that need has felt more urgent than ever over this past year.  We're thankful that while our teammate Carey International Pastoral Training has not been able to travel since March, we have continued to invest in the pastors and leaders that we serve all around the world.

Global Prayer Gathering: Last week Tim led our team in a global prayer gathering.  Using zoom 14 members of our global team from 8 of our active countries joined together to pray for one another and for the nations that we represent. It was an amazing time from which we all left encouraged and thankful for God's working in our midst.

Online Training:  This week 2 more of our training centers began courses via zoom.  We are looking forward to being able to return to in-person training in the months ahead, but in the meantime we are thankful that we can serve these pastors and leader, many of whom continue to face severe lockdowns in their region.

An Encouraging Word from One of our Leaders: As Tim meets with and ministers to pastors and leaders here in North America as well as around the globe, many are feeling discouraged and burned out.  That's why we recently asked one of our global leaders to record a video devotional from a passage of Scripture that we could share to encourage those that we serve.  We're attaching this video devotional below.  It's about 13 minutes long and contains a message from one of our strategic leaders in the Middle East.  He is based in Lebanon, a country that this year has experienced devastating political and economic turmoil, widespread cases of Covid 19, and then a massive explosion that leveled huge areas of Beirut and left countless thousands homeless.  We'd like to invite you to watch the video because we know that you'll be strengthened and encouraged by the message that you hear, but you'll also get a glimpse of the kind of leaders that we training in the global church.

Thanks for your partnership in the work of the gospel.
Tim & Lisa Beavis
