The questions asked below were asked on Sunday during our time at Redemption Kids. Take some time to read the passage together, discuss the questions, watch a BRAND NEW video of the lesson, memorize the Bible verse, and remember the big idea of this week!

Ask the Questions

Bigs Discussion Questions

  1. What was your favorite part of today’s Bible story?

  2. What did you learn about God in today’s Bible story?

  3. What did Paul say love is like?

  4. How do we know God loves us? We can know that God loves us because He sent His Son, Jesus.

Elementary Discussion Questions

  1. Why did the people of Nazareth reject Jesus?

Help kids understand that salvation comes from hearing the gospel and believing that we are only saved through Jesus. Tell kids that we must have ears to hear and soft hearts that will receive the gospel by faith. Explain that the people of Nazareth rejected Jesus because of their hardness of heart and unbelief.

  2. Did Jesus only come to save Jewish people? Why not?

Remind kids that Jesus came to save all who would believe in Him. Discuss how everyone—male, female, rich, poor, Jew, or Gentile—is invited to believe in Jesus, have their sins forgiven, and experience eternal life. Remind kids that Jesus told the people of Nazareth that God’s plan was for the Messiah to proclaim the good news to all people.

  3. Will Jesus ever reject us? Why not?

Encourage kids to remember that Jesus welcomes sinners and invites us to come to Him by faith. Help kids understand that it is not Jesus who rejects us, but we who reject Him in unbelief. Discuss how through Jesus we can be saved and have eternal life with Him forever. Explain that those who have rejected Jesus will be judged for their sin. Remind kids that even when others may reject us or hurt us, Jesus never will.
