What was your favorite part of today’s Bible story?
What did you learn about God in today’s Bible story?
Why did crowds of people follow Jesus wherever He went?
How do we know God loves us? We can know that God loves us because He sent His Son, Jesus.
Elementary Discussion Questions
What did Jesus’ miracles prove?
Remind kids that Jesus’ miracles proved that He was the Messiah, the Son of God. Explain that many people doubted Jesus until they saw His miracles. Tell kids that the miracles helped strengthen people’s faith and met their needs. Discuss how Jesus’ miracles proved His teachings were true.
What is something God has done for you that has amazed you?
Answers will vary. Lead kids to share how God has worked in their lives. Discuss how God does many amazing things for us each day by how He cares for us, gives us what we need promises to be with us, answers our prayers, and so on. Remind kids that the most amazing thing God has done was when He sent Jesus to die for our sins and rise again so that we could be saved.
When we see or hear about something amazing, we want to share it with others. When have you told someone the amazing news about Jesus?
Answers will vary. Encourage kids to share the good news of the gospel with others. Tell kids that they can share how we cannot save ourselves but we need Jesus to save us from our sin. Encourage kids to give people the hope of the gospel and teach them that we are only saved through faith in Jesus.

Practice Catechism
Question 34: Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through Christ alone, must we still do good works and obey God’s Word?
Answer: Yes, so that our lives may show love and gratitude to God; and so that by our godly behavior others may be won to Christ.
Question 35: Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through faith alone, where does this faith come from?
Answer: From the Holy Spirit.
