  1. Is there a person of faith from our Bible story today who stands out to you? Why?

Answers will vary. Remind kids that these were ordinary people. Tell kids that they trusted God because He is the true Hero. Help kids understand that the faith of the Old Testament people should encourage us to trust in Jesus.

  2. When is it hard to trust God?

Answers will vary. Remind kids that we will all struggle to trust God at times. Discuss how it can be hard to trust God when we don’t understand why certain things happen or when we face difficult times. Encourage kids to trust in God’s faithfulness to them and His promise to be with them. Remind kids that because of Jesus we have a better home we can look forward to by faith.

  3. Can we please God any other way besides faith? Why not?

Help kids understand that we can only please God by faith. Remind kids that faith shows that we trust God and that we want to obey Him. Lead kids to understand that faith shows that we know we cannot save ourselves and that we need Jesus.
