  4. Is Jesus God or a human? Jesus is both fully God and fully human.

Elementary Discussion Questions

  1. How did Jairus and the woman show they had faith in Jesus?

    Discuss how Jairus and the woman came to Jesus because they believed Jesus had the power to heal. Explain that the woman’s faith in Jesus is what saved her. Tell kids that Jesus encouraged Jairus to believe in Him, even though Jairus’ daughter had died.

  2. How did Jesus show His power?

    Remind kids that Jesus showed His power by healing the woman and raising the little girl back to life. Discuss how Jesus’ power is available to all who believe in Him. Tell kids that Jesus’ power is able to defeat sin and death.

  3. Jesus healed the woman and Jairus’ daughter, making them new. How does Jesus make us new?

    Lead kids to understand that Jesus makes us new through faith in Him. Tell kids that He gives us new hearts with new desires. Remind kids that Jesus helps us to become more like Him as we trust in Him and obey God’s Word. Tell kids that the power Jesus showed to heal is also the same power He uses to make all things new.
