What did you learn about God in today’s Bible story?
When Peter and John were told to stop telling others about Jesus, what did they do?
Why did Jesus become human? Jesus became human to rescue sinners.
Elementary Discussion Questions
How did God show He is greater than the religious leaders’ plans?
Discuss how God sent His angel to free the apostles in prison and that He gave them boldness to keep preaching. Remind kids that the apostles also rejoiced even when they suffered, showing that God is greater and better than any hardship.
How can we trust God during hard times?
Prompt kids to think about how the gospel helps us trust God because we know that no matter what happens in this life, we have the hope of life forever with Jesus. Discuss how God’s promises are always true, and He promised that He would be with us no matter what we face. Tell kids that God also gives us the Holy Spirit to help us trust Him.
Should you ever stop sharing the good news about Jesus? Why not?
Remind kids that Jesus not only commanded His followers to share the gospel, but that telling others about Jesus is how they will hear and believe. Encourage kids to remember that even if others make fun of us or tell us to be quiet or don’t understand, we are honoring God and taking part in His plan to help people trust in Jesus.

Practice Catechism
Question 25: Does Christ’s death mean all our sins can be forgiven?
Answer: Yes, because Christ’s death on the cross fully paid the penalty for our sin, God will remember our sins no more.
Question 26: What else does Christ’s death redeem?
Answer: Every part of fallen creation.
