1. Waiting on God (v5-7)

  • Waiting on God tests your trust in God, revealing if you truly trust Him

  • Waiting on God tests your obedience to God, revealing if your faithfulness is in response to Him, or dependant on a response from Him

2. Encountering God (v8-17)

Encountering God in the waiting reveals that:

  • God is working

  • God is listening

  • God is faithful

  • God is present

3. Responding to God (v18-25)

Waiting is:

  • Active

  • Patient

  • Open-ended

Waiting requires:

  • Trust

  • Hope

  • Faith

Reflection

What if what you’re waiting to come, to happen, or to end never happens?

  • Will you still trust God?

  • Will you still remain obedient to God?

  • Will God still be enough for you?
