Love Like Jesus!

What good is it?

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?” (James 2:14)

That is the question that James, the half brother of Jesus, poses to the early church. Professing what they did not practice, their behaviors did not align with their beliefs. They knew the right answers, but failed to follow that up with the right actions.

We find ourselves in a similar situation some 2,000 years later, and are faced with the very same question, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, to you or those around you, if you say you believe in Jesus but fail to love like Jesus?”

This year as we grow in being a more loving and welcoming church by putting into practice the Great Commandment of loving God and loving others, we are going to turn to the book of James in a series called, “Faith at Work”.

Together, we are going to realign our behaviors with our beliefs.

Together, we are going to grow to be more like Jesus.

Together, we are going to love like Jesus.

Together, we will see our faith at work.

Invite a friend, bring your family, and join us this Sunday at Redemption!
