Are you ready to be a host?
Is this your church home? Are you ready to be its host?
If you consider Redemption your church home, then I want to encourage you to view yourself not as a guest, but as a host - welcoming everyone who walks through our doors each and every Sunday!
Here’s how YOU can grow in becoming a more welcoming host of YOUR church home!
1. Meet someone new to you every Sunday
We have a phrase here called “new to you”, and do you know how we define new to you? If you don't remember someone’s name, then they are new to you! You have permission to ask their name again and again (and again…but at some point, write their name down). I want to challenge you to meet someone new to you EVERY Sunday! It’s not all that difficult. All you need to do is
1) see someone new to you
2) say hi and introduce yourself by name
3) thank them for worshiping with us
Maybe that leads to a conversation - maybe that leads to a friendship - but it will certainly lead to them feeling more welcomed and more loved!
2. Sign up to serve on the Welcome Team
The Welcome Team is the welcoming face of our church! They are the first people our guests meet, they show them around, introduce them to others, and make them feel at home. Not only that, they brew the coffee, setup signs, hand out weeklies, and pass communion.
We want to expand what our Welcome Team does on Sunday mornings, so we are praying for 16 people to sign up and join the Welcome Team this week! We’ll get you added to the February schedule and invite you to a training session we’re hosting on February 9th. Will you take this step in being a host by serving your church?
3. Host a Meetup
Not only are we a family who faithfully follows Jesus together - but a family who has fun together! Sunday we launched something new and exciting called MEETUPS! Let’s meetup to do the things already enjoy doing, but do them together. Check out our new MEETUPS page to RSVP for a meetup - or even better, host your own meetup! Just fill out the form and start inviting friends! What better way to be host than to host a meetup!
